Essentially the success of your therapy depends largely upon your relationship with your therapist and your ability to be honest with yourself and your therapist. The therapist will endeavor to understand the way you feel from your world and your frame of reference (how you are experiencing your problems). This will require the therapist to create an atmosphere of freedom where you can take the direction of the therapy wherever you need it to go. Ask yourself these questions:
- What is my goal in life?
- What am I striving for?
- What is my purpose?
- Am I honest with myself, am I able to stand up for my own convictions?
- Am I hiding behind a facade?
- Am I able to drop the false fronts with which I have faced life?
